Daruvir is a protease inhibitor. Daruvir is an antiviral medication that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from multiplying in your body. Daruvir is used to treat HIV, the virus that can cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Daruvir is to be taken with food.
In addition to its intended effect, Daruvir may cause some unwanted effects too. In such cases, you must seek medical attention immediately. This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. Please inform your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction to the medication.
Most common side effects are: nausea, diarrhoea, increased cholesterol level in blood, increased triglyceride level in blood.
