Caverta is one of the safest treatment that is used to cure impotency in male by giving them a stiffer organ.
Caverta contains Sildenafil Citrate that belongs to erectile dysfunction drug enhancing blood flow to the penis and restores impaired erectile function and provides a natural response to sexual stimulation. The physiological mechanism of erection is related to the release of nitric oxide in the cavernous body during sexual excitement. Nitric oxide activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase resulting in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). This leads to relaxation of smooth muscles of the cavernous body and increase blood flow to the penis. Sildenafil is a powerful and selective inhibitor of cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5), which is responsible for the breaking down of cGMP in the penis smooth muscles.
Caverta comes in the form of tablets that are taken by mouth. The recommended dose is 50 mg or 100 mg depending on therapeutic effect. In elderly patients with impaired renal or hepatic failure the dose should not exceed 25 mg of Caverta. The medication should be taken 30-60 minutes before sexual intercourse. Remember, that Sildenafil Citrate does not work without sexual stimulation.
